Columbia Center RTU replacement

During a seasonal HVAC Preventative Maintenance visit, the BMP team found the existing unit had a cracked heat exchanger.  This crack posed an air quality risk to the tenants of the space, so it was shut off.  The existing unit was past ASHRAE’s 15 year median life expectancy, used a refrigerant type no longer in production, and had some coil hail damage that didn’t make repair in the best interest of the customer.  A new, more efficient unit was recommended and installed.
